G.I. Joe #8

· Ledafilms SA

G.I. Joe #8 delivers a tight, action-packed double mission: one team slips into a seemingly ordinary suburban home—only to uncover it’s a Cobra stronghold tied to Candy’s father, complicating matters when she arrives on scene; meanwhile, another team storms Sierra Gordo to rescue Dr. Burkhart once more. With Storm Shadow making a pivotal choice to save Billy from his father after an interrogation, loyalties shift in unexpected ways. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Rod Whigham, with inks by Andy Mushynsky and colors by George Roussos, the issue’s cover by Mike Zeck and John Beatty captures the tension perfectly.

A team of Joes infiltrate a suburban house that is a hotbed of Cobra activity, which is later discovered to belong to Candy's father when she arrives on-scene later after the Twins and a Guardsman escape the Joes from the site. Another team of Joes invade Sierra Gordo to rescue Dr. Burkhart (again). Storm Shadow betrays Cobra by rescuing Billy from the clutches of his father after he was interrogated about his role in the failed assassination.
