G.I. As the skirmish erupts, Zartan’s elaborate deception unfolds: he later abducts two Joes in a chopper disguised as a bus, while Buzzer is captured by the Joes after a tip from Bludd and the Baroness. The mystery deepens when a seemingly ordinary old lady vanishes mid-flight, her disappearance hinting at a clever ruse. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Rod Whigham, Mark Bright, Bob Camp, and Hama, with inks by Andy Mushynsky and Mike Esposito, and colors by George Roussos, the issue’s cover by John Byrne captures the chaos in bold, dynamic strokes.
