G.I. Joe #4

Part of IDW's "The Fall of G.I. Joe" arc, this fourth issue presents a striking minimalist cover set against a deep burgundy cityscape — a gold-and-grey armored figure tumbles upside-down, trailing a rope line while muzzle flashes burst dramatically to the left. The stylized, graphic-design sensibility gives the whole image a cool, almost poster-like elegance that sets it apart from more conventional superhero fare. With Traviss, Kurth, and Young at the helm, this 2014 IDW series clearly isn't pulling any punches when it comes to putting the team under pressure.
