In G.I. Joe #32, the mysterious Soft Master makes a pivotal appearance on the mountain, aiding Snake-Eyes and the team in fending off a coordinated assault by Destro, Firefly, and the newly introduced Fred II. As tensions rise in Springfield, the Baroness and Bludd advance their deadly scheme to eliminate Cobra Commander, using Billy as their unwitting weapon, while new recruits step into the Pit to fill the ranks left vacant by those lost in the Sierras. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated with precision by Frank Springer, with inks by Andy Mushynsky and colors by George Roussos, the issue’s cover by Springer captures the intensity of the moment in stark, dynamic detail.
