G.I. Joe #27

Feb 2011 · IDW · 3.99 USD

In G.I. Joe #27 (2011), Snake Eyes, Helix, Orizama, and Copperhead struggle to survive an icy captivity, aided unexpectedly by the Fobbits in deciphering a way out. As tensions rise between the team and their captors, the Baroness and Destro exchange tense words while Orizama and Copperhead wrestle for control—only to see it collapse in chaos. With Snake Eyes and Helix fighting through Cobra forces on the ground, Shareware and Dial-tone pilot their vehicle from afar, pushing through the storm. The issue ends with a haunting transmission from the moon—two words that send shockwaves through the ranks: "The Commander is dead," and "Help us." Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Robert Atkins, with inks by Clayton Brown, Allan Goldman, Juan Castro, and Eber Ferreira, and colors by Andrew Crossley, the cover by Atkins and Brown captures the frozen tension of the moment.
