G.I. Joe #1

A wounded American soldier named Ed Farrell is rescued by Joe and his unit during combat, and while recovering in a base hospital, he inspires his fellow soldiers with tales of his father's heroism in the First World War. Joe and his comrades undertake a dangerous rescue mission to save Farrell, who has been captured by enemy forces and locked in an underground sewer pipe, requiring them to navigate treacherous terrain and overcome obstacles to reach him in time. With the help of Lieutenant Parker and his men, they successfully locate and extract Farrell from his confinement, demonstrating the same courage and determination that Farrell admired in his father.
