This bumper issue of G.I. Combat — billed as "The Big War Book" with six stories and no ads — delivers a lot of wartime drama for its dollar cover price. Joe Kubert's cover art centers on a visibly shaken soldier in a flight suit crouching beside the famous Haunted Tank, crying out in anguish while smaller inset panels tease three additional tales: "The Spy Who Died Twice," "Signal from a Dead Soldier," and "Helping Hand."
