DC's "Big War Book" Dollar Comics format packs 68 ad-free pages into this January 1978 issue, promising seven "lusty, gutsy war stories" — and Joe Kubert's cover makes the case for every one of them. The Haunted Tank charges straight at the viewer, its cannon blazing while enemy armor bearing Iron Crosses crumbles on either side, all set against a fiery orange battlefield and the blunt tagline "A Nice Day for Killing." Sam Glanzman handles the writing, art, inking, and lettering throughout, bringing a soldier's-eye authenticity to the interior tales.
