Future Imperfect #1

Part of Marvel's 2015 Secret Wars event, Future Imperfect #1 brings writer Peter David back to one of his most celebrated corners of the Marvel Universe. Greg Land's cover announces the tone immediately: a massive, grey-bearded green behemoth looms over a sprawling heap of defeated heroes — Spider-Man, what appears to be an armored figure, Wolverine's clawed gauntlet, and scattered skulls among the wreckage — radiating the kind of brooding menace that suggests this version of the Hulk answers to no one. David, Land, inker Jay Leisten, and colorist Nolan Woodard make a formidable creative team for a series that already looks like essential Secret Wars reading.
