Fused #2

From the Dark Horse/Rocket Comics line, Fused #2 continues Steve Niles's 2004 series with a cover by Josh Medors and Peter Repovski that's hard to look away from: a heavily armored, humanoid robot figure strains under a chaotic mass of household furniture — chairs, cushions, and wooden planks — all tangled together with rope and chain. It's an oddly compelling image, somewhere between absurdist humor and genuine pathos, hinting at a story where the mechanical and the domestic are uncomfortably intertwined. If "Think Like a Machine [Part 2]" delivers half the strangeness promised by this cover, Niles and Medors are cooking up something genuinely unlike anything else on the 2004 shelf.
