Funny Folks #9 brings a full 52 pages of animated-style comedy from DC's 1947 lineup, and Rube Grossman's cover sets the tone perfectly. A mischievous cartoon cat gleefully lights the fuse on a cannon aimed straight at a large archery target, while a smug little bird perches atop the bullseye — clearly unaware of what's coming. It's a wonderfully absurd setup that captures exactly the cheerful, anything-can-happen spirit of this ten-cent anthology.
