From DC's cheerful humor anthology comes this February–March 1947 entry in the Funny Folks series, with a cover by Rube Grossman that captures rainy-day misery at its most entertaining. Center stage, a drenched and wide-eyed cartoon cat clutches a completely mangled umbrella as a downpour thoroughly defeats him, while two smug little characters in the background — one with a perfectly functioning umbrella — seem entirely unbothered by the whole soggy situation. It's a ten-cent slice of classic funny-animal comedy that reminds you just how much charm a single well-drawn cover could deliver.
