Sam Peeters brings a wickedly distinctive vision to this 2016 Scratch Books release, with every line and color on the cover entirely his own work. That cover is something to behold: a wide-eyed girl in gothic attire stands before a crucifix radiating yellow light, flanked by a hulking pink devil-cat creature and ringed by a carousel of shadowy imp-like figures dancing around flames. It's irreverent, strange, and drawn with a confident cartoon energy that makes it impossible to look away.
