Patrick Kindlon and Marco Ferrari's Frontiersman continues to deliver something refreshingly human in its fourth issue. The cover captures a quietly charming moment: a tiny, spiky-haired Frontiersman sits cross-legged on the floor, reading through what appears to be fan mail or a scrapbook, while an enormous, warmly smiling woman with voluminous dark curls leans in close — her sheer scale making him look almost pocket-sized amid a scatter of everyday clutter including a Rubik's Cube, a mug, cards, and a sleeping creature curled at the edge. Ferrari's art gives the scene an endearing intimacy that sets this series apart from typical superhero fare.
