Frisky Fables #43 is an anthology featuring multiple comic stories. One story follows Barnaby the beaver, who is criticized by a wise owl for lacking initiative and enterprise after his attempt to use swordfish teeth as tools fails. The owl teaches Barnaby that if you can't do one thing, you can do something else, leading Barnaby to find success as a logger and cementer at a dam. Another story depicts cartoon characters on a film set with a famous director, where they cause comedic chaos during production, including disrupting filming and creating general mayhem on the studio lot.
