“Whoopee! Buried Treasure”

In "Whoopee! Buried Treasure," Spunky takes on the role of amateur sleuth when Professor Strad calls in the police to protect a self-playing violin. With his friend Buzz, he ends up asleep on a couch that’s stolen right out from under them—only to wake up and use the mysterious instrument to outwit the thief. Jason Comic Art handles both art and inks, while Al Fago delivers the cover with his signature flair. A 10-cent comic from 1948, this issue blends whimsy and wits in a tale where music might just be the key to solving the mystery.
