Freckles and His Friends #3

This issue contains two stories. The first story involves a girl named Hilda who decorates a lunch box hoping to attract a boy's attention, leading to misunderstandings about whose lunch it is and ultimately resulting in a bidding war where Lord Smith ends up purchasing the lunch. The second story, "Freckles and His Friends" by Merrill Blosser, deals with Freckles' father's broken television set; when the repairman says it will take days to fix and suggests ordering parts from California, Mr. McGoosey attempts to order a replacement picture tube, but the company can only deliver within two days, forcing him to find an alternative solution or face continued delays.
