Freckles and His Friends #9

In "Battle Stations," Freckles latches onto a con involving a general with freckles who would split clothing winnings with Freckles and his pals, leading to boredom back at school. After school, one boy attempts to retrieve money from the scheme, only to discover the general was a woman in disguise. The story concludes with the boys settling their disputes and facing consequences for their involvement. In a secondary story, a young man pursues multiple romances insured for five bucks each, attempting to collect on insurance policies by proving the policy-holders helped him win back his honey, but his scheme ultimately unravels when the truth emerges.
