# Freckles and His Friends #12 Freckles and his friends form a "Woman-Haters, Inc." club with strict rules against dating, but when one member violates the charter by going on a date with Pat Owen, he is sentenced to a ducking in the river. After the sentence is carried out, the boys are rescued by a passing airplane, and later discover an island where they find survival provisions. The story concludes with Freckles meeting Buck Wheat, a doughnut shop owner, who offers partnership opportunities and introduces Freckles to his own partner at a Junior Chamber of Commerce gathering, where plans are made to expand the doughnut business in 1950.
