Freckles and his band land a summer gig at a lakeside resort, but their new job hits a snag when Nubbin—a well-meaning but rough-around-the-edges friend—accidentally becomes the star attraction, stealing the spotlight (and the girls) from the orchestra and threatening their employment. As the hotel manager demands they get rid of their friend, Freckles and the gang must decide whether loyalty or their paycheck comes first.
