Frankenstein decides he needs a watchdog to protect his mansion from burglars, but his visit to the pet shop takes an unexpected turn when he catches the eye of the wealthy Sandra Debingsworth—who purchases him as her latest exotic pet for $200. Forced to perform as various creatures for Sandra's high-society gatherings and caught up in her crusade against common dogs, Frankenstein finds himself in increasingly absurd situations before fate (and a pack of impounded canines) brings him back home just in time for the burglars to return.

When Frankenstein receives a weather forecaster in the mail, the device's accuracy triggers an unexpectedly biblical downpour—prompting him to build an ark just like Noah's. What follows is a series of increasingly absurd encounters, from a confused Nazi submarine crew to a volcano-dwelling hermit, each pulling our misfit hero into their own desperate crises, as his grand ark adventure spirals into pure comedic chaos.
