Franken-Castle #18

The Punisher's monstrous reborn form looms large on Mike McKone's cover for this 2010 Marvel series, his glowing green eyes and bolt-studded neck leaving no doubt that Frank Castle has been thoroughly transformed into something far beyond human. In the foreground, a fierce black-clad warrior woman holds twin blades at the ready, the two figures framed against a fiery red backdrop of stylized kanji characters. Writer Rick Remender and artist Jefte Palo's run continues to push the series into gloriously strange territory, and this issue looks every bit as wild as that premise promises.
