Franka #10
Franka steps into the glamour and danger of the silver screen in this tenth album of Henk Kuijpers' beloved Dutch series, collected here in a 1997 German edition from Epsilon. The cover, drawn and inked by Kuijpers, sets a wonderfully chaotic scene outside Studio Z: the red-haired Franka strides forward confidently in her star-spangled outfit, caught between a shadowy group of sharp-suited gangster types and a startled blonde woman crouching nearby, with even a small white rabbit adding to the mayhem. It's a lively, stylishly composed image that promises plenty of screwball intrigue where the worlds of crime and cinema collide.
