Frank Buck and his companions venture into a mysterious volcanic island where they pursue giant lizards fleeing into the jungle and encounter a sinister plot involving a temple cult. The story involves Frank being shot and captured, along with a woman named Paula, by the cult leader Raj Chandrallal, who plans to sacrifice them and steal Frank's valuable animals. After a battle erupts between Frank's group and the cultists, Frank manages to escape his bonds and pursue his rival Carl by boat through treacherous jungle waterways, ultimately confronting him in a crocodile-infested swamp where he defeats Carl and completes his dangerous animal-collecting mission.
