Forever Amber #3

Issue three of Image's Forever Amber puts the title character in a very bad spot — kneeling on a paper-strewn floor, her clothes torn, clutching a "You're Fired! — Management" note while a large pistol is leveled directly at her from the foreground. The cover tagline "Amber, You Have Been Terminated!" delivers a sharp double meaning that perfectly captures the defiant fury on Amber's face as she stares down the barrel. It's a tense, punchy 1999 Image series that clearly isn't afraid to push its protagonist to the edge.
