The Great Foodini is a television-adapted comic featuring the titular magician and his puppet companions. In one story, Foodini and his puppets become entangled in a plot involving barrels of oil that a foreign power plans to steal, though Foodini's bumbling attempts to prevent the theft create complications. Another story involves Foodini accidentally breaking a robot's microphone, then having to take it to a repair shop, where the delayed repair frustrates his boss; Foodini later learns of a prison break in the news and takes a shortcut home that leads him to the escapees' hideout.
