Floor de Goede's Flo #2 — subtitled De Dagelijkse Ergernissen ("The Daily Annoyances") — sets the tone perfectly with its cover: two red-faced, fuming characters squaring off on either side of a battered toilet, surrounded by scattered household detritus including a bucket, a vacuum cleaner, and cleaning supplies. Published by Catullus in 2010, this Dutch humor strip channels the friction of everyday domestic life into wonderfully expressive cartooning, with every line and color crafted entirely by de Goede himself.
