Flashpoint: The Legion of Doom #1

Part of DC's 2011 Flashpoint event, this first issue of a three-part series kicks off "Hot Blooded" with a cover by Miguel Sepulveda that sets a menacing tone immediately — a masked, armored figure stands defiantly amid a ring of flames, a blinding light blazing at their chest against a stormy sky. Writer Adam Glass, artist Rodney Buchemi, and inker José Marzán Jr. bring the Legion of Doom into the altered Flashpoint reality, and this brooding, atmospheric opener suggests the stakes are as scorched as the ground beneath that lone, dangerous silhouette.
