Flash Gordon: Kings Cross #2

Flash Gordon goes toe-to-toe with a snarling, blue-furred beast on the cover of this 2016 Dynamite entry in the Kings Cross series — the creature looms enormous and furious while Flash, blaster in hand and lightning-bolt suit unmistakable, plants a kick squarely into its chest amid a rocky, jungle-strewn landscape. Jesse Hamm's linework (both pencils and inks) brings a lively, retro-adventure energy to the confrontation, with Grace Allison's colors giving the scene a vivid pop. "Chapter Two: Fierce Fauna" promises exactly the kind of wild, pulpy encounter its title suggests.
