Flash #47
Few things promise a wild ride quite like a cityscape erupting in flames behind the Fastest Man Alive. Greg LaRocque and José Marzán Jr.'s cover for this February 1991 issue puts Wally West's Flash front and center in his red-and-gold suit, fists clenched and lightning crackling at his heels, while the massive, fearsome Gorilla Grodd looms just behind him — hurling a hapless victim through the chaos — and a pack of wild animals surges around them both through the burning rubble. With the story titled "Old Dogs New Teeth" and Grodd clearly in a destructive fury, William Messner-Loebs and the creative team are setting up a confrontation that looks anything but easy for Central City's protector.
