Flash #33
From the creative team of Messner-Loebs, LaRocque, and Dzon comes this December 1989 chapter titled "Joker's Holiday." The cover — penciled by Greg LaRocque and inked by Larry Mahlstedt — drops Flash into a genuinely unsettling scene: a distraught woman screams that someone is stealing her baby, while an ominous dark figure looms at the edge of the frame and a cacophony of manic laughter echoes across the background, leaving the scarlet speedster caught in the chaos and visibly uncertain who the real threat is. It's a striking setup that trades action-figure heroics for something more unnerving, and the Joker's shadow — literally and figuratively — hangs over every inch of the image.
