Bengal's cover for Firefly #30 sets an immediate tone of tense standoff: two armed, shadowy figures close in from either side while a man and a woman — the latter leveling a pistol with steady resolve — shield a child caught in the middle, all framed by a crumbling environment raining debris from above. Greg Pak and artist Simona Di Gianfelice continue their run on Joss Whedon's beloved 'verse with this 2021 BOOM! Studios entry, and the cover alone makes clear that protecting the vulnerable comes at a cost.
