Part of BOOM! Studios' "Blue Sun Rising" arc, this 2020 installment of Joss Whedon's Firefly carries a painterly, dust-soaked cover by Marc Aspinall that feels like the 'verse's frontier soul made visible. A covered wagon leads a weary caravan toward a burning horizon — silhouetted buildings and what appears to be a spacecraft rising against the blazing sky — while figures on foot and on horseback flank the procession, and a young man sits quietly at the wagon's rear, carrying the weight of the journey. Greg Pak and Lalit Kumar Sharma continue their run on the series, promising the same blend of space-western heart that makes Firefly so enduring.
