The fourth volume in Delcourt's Terres de Légendes line, Finkel: Le Secret presents a striking close-up portrait of a weathered, sharp-eyed older man whose guarded expression hints at depths carefully concealed — a fitting visual promise for a story built around secrets. Giné and Convard bring their distinctive European BD sensibility to bear, with Giné's painted cover work rendered in cool greens and warm ochres that give the character an almost haunted presence. If you've been following this series through its 1997 run, this fourth chapter looks set to deliver the kind of layered, atmospheric storytelling the Finkel series does so well.
