Part four of this six-issue Final Crisis Aftermath miniseries finds a determined, blonde-haired figure in a blue uniform lunging forward against a swirling violet and blue energy field, gripping what appears to be a metal restraint bar — every line of the pose radiating urgency and sheer will. Scott Hampton's cover art captures that tension beautifully, balancing the character's fierce expression against the eerie, almost dreamlike atmosphere surrounding him. With Iván Brandon's writing and interior art by Cliff Richards and Prentis Rollins, Escape continues to be one of 2009's more intriguing corners of the DC universe.
