"A Smashing Time with Frank Randle" follows the music-hall comedian Frank Randle through a series of chaotic misadventures involving a runaway motor-bike, a magical egg that sprouts legs, a valuable vase, and a climactic party where Frank attempts ventriloquism and musical acts, all while a pair of conniving jewel thieves and their oompah band create mayhem around him. The story culminates in slapstick confusion as Frank and his friend Harvey become entangled with the criminals' schemes, the oompah band causes destruction, and a dog disrupts the proceedings throughout the evening's festivities.
