This anthology issue contains three main stories: "Hallo Folks," featuring two boys named Stanley and Olly who visit a fortune teller's tent and encounter misadventures with strange birds and tomatoes while seeking treasure; "Old Mother Riley" featuring Lucan and McShane, in which Mother Riley attends a garden party at the Dillydally residence where she encounters a "shady character" and becomes involved in a mix-up concerning a valuable necklace and a fancy dress ball; and "The Great George Formby," about the famous screen comedian George Formby who, while broke and hungry, takes in a stray poodle and becomes embroiled in comedic chaos involving a bomb, his Uncle Ben, and various mishaps at his home.
