Fightin' Air Force #51

The lead story "The Fallen Eagles" features the American Eagle squadron, where pilots "Reb," "Hot-Rock," and "Ugly" question whether their new leader is fit to command them. When a Nazi super-fighter piloted by Schmitt begins blasting American bombers from the air, the 8th Air Force struggles to cope with this new menace, and the Eagles must prove themselves in combat. A second story, "The Growth of Fear," follows an American pilot whose F-86 Sabre encounters enemy aircraft during a tense dogfight where he fights to overcome his mounting fear and survive the aerial battle.
