This anthology issue contains at least three crime and horror stories. "Heartless!" follows Bernie Kellog, a man suffering from severe chest pains in a cheap hotel who is initially denied medical care; a doctor eventually arrives and discovers Kellog has a genuine heart condition. "The Perfect Crime" depicts a meticulously planned murder scheme involving a man named Bruce Reed and his wife Selma, where the perpetrator attempts to frame Reed for his wife's death by seducing her and establishing his good character before the crime. An unnamed desert horror story shows a man left for dead in the wilderness who is attacked by vultures and other creatures while struggling to survive, ultimately succumbing to the harsh environment and becoming food for the desert's scavengers.
