An unnamed desert horror story shows a man left for dead in the wilderness who is attacked by vultures and other creatures while struggling to survive, ultimately succumbing to the harsh environment and becoming food for the desert's scavengers.
Two small-town bank robbers, Frank Lennox and Walt Hall, make a quick score that turns bloody when a child wanders into their heist—but their real problems are just beginning as they flee across the Nevada desert with the law in hot pursuit. Trapped in the wilderness with mounting desperation, guilt, and each other, the two ex-cons discover that some crimes carry a price no amount of running can outrun.
Bernie Kellog, a man known for his ruthlessness, checks into a small-town hotel wracked with chest pains—and finds himself confessing his past to the doctor who treats him. As Bernie recounts twenty years of hustling, gambling, and worse, a dark scheme involving an old flame named Elaine emerges from his feverish memories. The question becomes whether a man with no heart can escape the consequences of his own cruelty.
A handsome lawyer plots meticulously to escape his failing marriage—he's already promised another woman a life together, and he's running out of time. Bruce Reed sets an elaborate scheme in motion involving a second honeymoon, switched identities, and an ocean voyage, convinced his legal mind has engineered the perfect crime. But even the cleverest plans can unravel when details collide with reality.
