Marc Lataste's Feya returns for its second volume, and the cover makes a strong case for why this series deserves attention — our red-faced, black-haired heroine charges forward in her sleek black-and-yellow spotted suit, fists clenched, flanked by two looming alien faces: a pale, hollow-eyed mask behind her and a brooding grey creature below. The ruined, otherworldly landscape stretching out in teal and green hues gives the whole image a wonderfully offbeat sci-fi energy that sets Lataste's work apart from the crowd. If you enjoyed the first volume, this 2018 Grand Souk release looks set to plunge Feya straight back into the thick of it.
