Felix the Cat Winter Annual #2
In "Teamwork Quirk," Felix the Cat stumbles upon an undersea treasure chest and ends up aboard a cargo ship whose crew, now flush with riches, leaves him stranded with a menagerie of wild animals. After narrowly escaping chaos, Felix finds himself on a Navy battleship, where he clashes with an admiral, gets cannon-blasted off the ship, and lands on an island teeming with cannibals and a furious gorilla. The journey continues as he joins a band of treasure hunters and eventually returns to the U.S., becoming the unlikely pet of a wealthy boy whose butler has no patience for cats. Written and illustrated entirely by Otto Messmer, this 1954 Winter Annual showcases the legendary creator’s signature charm and kinetic energy, with cover art by Messmer as well.

Hiding in a powder-less artillery shell, Felix is cannon-blasted off the ship and onto an island inhabited by cannibals and an angry gorilla.
