Blimpy sets out on his first fishing expedition armed with nothing but fishing books and overconfidence, only to bungle the basics and get swindled by a clever sea horse offering a map to the fish's hiding spots. When the scheme leads him and his pal Tabby to the underwater kingdom of King Neptune, Blimpy finds himself on trial for poaching—and the wily sea horse vanishes with their worms, leaving chaos in its wake.
Swing Sisson and his band catch their big break when they're summoned to Hollywood by Cinemax Productions, but the bright lights bring trouble—Rocky Martin, a shady operator they've refused to work for before, shows up demanding to be their agent, and when Swing refuses, Rocky vows revenge. After a month in the movie capital, Swing's newfound fame and association with actress Carla Drake seem to have transformed him into an arrogant snob who dismisses his loyal bandmates as mere employees, leading them to break up in disgust. Swing's got a plan to reclaim his integrity and outsmart Rocky's scheme, but his friends will need to trust him when everything looks darkest.
