Bandleader Swing Sisson finds himself out of a job when he ejects a heckler from the Palm Club—only to discover the troublemaker is connected to the club's new owner, Miss Cranmer. As Swing tries to smooth things over and win back his position, he gets tangled up in a scheme involving a suspicious visitor and a case of breaking and entering. When a chance encounter leads him to an unconventional street musician, Swing decides to put together an impromptu concert that might just remind everyone what real music is all about.
Roscoe spots a mysterious radio broadcast promising five hundred dollars hidden in Farmer Dell's barn at midnight, and he can't resist the chance at easy money. Along with his companion, he sneaks into the barn to search, but the animals have other ideas—and his nighttime treasure hunt turns into a chaotic series of encounters with spooked livestock. When Roscoe finally thinks he's found his fortune, he discovers it's far more trouble than he bargained for.
