Fear Agent #4
Fear Agent #4 delivers exactly the kind of pulpy sci-fi energy this Image series does so well — the cover by Tony Moore shows Heath Huston in his orange pressure suit, gripping a massive weapon as he confronts a glowing, dome-encased brain surrounded by an elaborate mechanical backdrop of gears and circuitry. The tension radiating from that standoff between a grim-faced space cowboy and a pulsing alien intellect captures everything loveable about Rick Remender's retro-adventure sensibility. With art contributions from Jerome Opeña and inks by Mike Manley rounding out the interior, this 2006 issue is a fine chapter in one of Image's most entertaining sci-fi series.
