Vertigo's FBP: Federal Bureau of Physics #15 wraps up "Standing on Shoulders" with a cover by Nathan Fox that's as playful as it is vivid — a young scientist in a lab coat and oversized yellow goggles leans eagerly over a tray of swirling, fiery matter, surrounded by a chaotic collage of gears, dials, radiation symbols, and glowing machinery rendered in bold yellows, greens, and purples. Rico Renzi's colors give the whole scene an almost fever-dream energy that perfectly suits a series built around a world where physics itself can't be trusted. Simon Oliver's story, brought to life by Alberto Ponticelli's linework, reaches its conclusion here, making this a satisfying stop in one of Vertigo's more imaginatively grounded sci-fi runs of 2015.
