A French Foreign Legion sergeant major and his ten-man patrol are stationed in North Africa, where they uncover a plot by the villain Hussin to attack at sunset tomorrow. After a prisoner named Yussif provides information in exchange for food, the sergeant must secure a gun to defend against the impending assault. When the patrol comes under attack, a woman sets fire to a gas truck, creating a signal fire that alerts distant desert tribes to mount their own assault on the base. As the patrol fights off multiple attacks from enemy forces closing in on their position, they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds.
