Kiani is thought to be a goddess by the Ascylians and is offered Killian as a sacrificial offering from her cult worshipers. Instead, she uses her new blade forged in fire and grey matter to stab her father and return him to his normal form. Casque and the Black arrive to facilitate their escape and Kiani has a reconciliation with her father. Angered that Kiani proved to be a false goddess, Yoren instead sets his sights on Terza as the new incarnation of Kira. Meanwhile, back in the Blue, Anya discovers that she is once again pregnant with Killian's child.
