Beneath swirling kelp and the deep blue-green of the ocean, Aspen cradles a figure being drawn upward through the water while ethereal aquatic beings emerge from the surrounding seaweed in this hauntingly beautiful cover by Michael Turner and Joe Weems. The composition captures the series' signature blend of underwater mysticism and fluid, detailed linework that made Fathom one of Top Cow's most visually striking titles of 1999. Issue #4 is a strong showcase for Turner's talent for rendering both graceful human figures and an otherworldly aquatic world teeming with half-glimpsed presences.
