Racing car driver Ed is a car salesman by day. He refuses to sell Anne Frank a sports car and loses his job for the insult. He reports his concerns to Anne’s father, who likes Ed and hires him. Mr Frank knows his daughter can be a brat, but he’s given up trying to control her. Tensions mount between Ed and Anne. When she enters a cross-country speed race, Ed plots with Mr Frank to take over driving. After the race, Anne is furious that Ed could have been hurt because he didn’t know the car or the road. But it’s a sign she cares and the pair kiss.
