# Fantom of the Fair A mysterious caped vigilante known as the Fantom rescues Jane from a car driven by her cousin George, who had abandoned her at a mill with intentions to harm her. After the Fantom carries Jane through an underground river to safety near an amusement park, he mysteriously vanishes, leaving Jane bewildered about his true identity. The story continues with action aboard a ship heading to an island, where the Fantom becomes involved in a conflict involving native warriors, a character named Limey, and a plot connected to a sacred artifact called the Mastadon, with further adventures promised in the next issue.
